Muhammad brought ZERA from concept to working software and leads BuiltZERO's technology as Chief Technology Officer. He sets the platform's technical direction — developing the workflows behind future rating-system capability, integrating certification data with BIM and digital twin models, and building the AI-native foundations the wider roadmap depends on. He drives BuiltZERO's digital practice alongside it.

He joins from NTNU's Green2050 Centre for Green Shift in the Built Environment, where as Research Fellow and Digital Twin Manager he led a digital twin prototype delivering energy optimisation as a service for buildings in positive energy districts. Earlier he commercialised an Autodesk Revit plugin for automated reinforcement optimisation at HKUST, funded by the Hong Kong Construction Industry Council, and built BIM-integrated AI models for modular bridge fabrication at TU Munich — work aimed squarely at cutting material use and embodied carbon.

He holds a European BIMA+ Master's from Politecnico di Milano and Universidade do Minho, an executive certification in Digital Transformation from Imperial College Business School, and PMP, PgMP, WiredScore AP, SmartScore AP and RICS BIM Manager credentials.
